Electricity rates update – August 2017

Since our last wholesale electricity rates update on August 3, prices have gone up in Queensland and New South Wales by 0.7% and 1.54% respectively. Prices have dropped slightly in South Australia by 0.37% and by 2.37% in Victoria. The average drop in futures prices across the board was of 1%. Prices are still up by between 40 and 178% when compared to 24 months ago.
