We saved a Big4 Holiday Park $32,000 per annum on electricity through market reclassification

The Big4 is a Holiday Park in Victoria offering guests a range of accommodation options at the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. It has been a tough year for the tourism industry and we are proud to have been able to assist this business manage its expenses.

The situation

The Big4 holiday park offers a range of accommodation types including cabins, caravans and powered sites. Electricity is a major expense and the business decided to enlist an expert to help manage the cost.

What we did

At Leading Edge Energy we always assign our clients with a dedicated energy expert. In this case, Ewen Beard took on the job and really got to know the business in order to secure the best opportunities. After reviewing the contract Ewen found that the business was on a small business electricity contract that was not offering a competitive rate. Moving the business to a more appropriate large business contract resulted in a massive saving of 34 per cent or $32,000 a year.

“Ewen’s contract knowledge has delivered our business a huge saving that couldn’t have come at a better time. His persistence in securing such strong savings will help greatly as we get back on our feet after the lockdown.” – Director
