Since we started in 2013, Leading Edge Energy has helped numerous businesses with large energy consumption – mostly in the commercial and industrial space, reduce their electricity and natural gas costs and manage their usage. While we have provided services to small businesses throughout the years and our clients have been happy with their results, these were handled by our Commercial & Industrial team. But now we’ve decided to step up and create a team of experts specifically dedicated to SMEs – introducing Leading Edge Energy’s Small Business Team! 


What is Leading Edge Energy’s Small Business Team? 

Wanting to ensure that more businesses –no matter what size, can get the same excellent energy brokerage and management services our team has been providing our clients for years, Leading Edge Energy has decided to invest in building a team that will specialise in guiding and aiding SME customers. 


Meet the Team 

Our pioneering Small Business Team, composed of Katie Smith, Neha Bhimrajka, and Jonalyn Esparagoza, has a combined 14 years of experience in the energy industry. The members bring their expertise in the ins and outs of the Australian electricity and natural gas markets and unparalleled customer service skills to the table, providing SME businesses like yours their undivided attention as they find tailor-made solutions to your energy-related requirements.

Is your business an SME? What is the difference between single-site and multisite SMEs? 

For our purposes, a typical SME customer spends less than $30,000 annually on electricity, while SME gas customers could spend up to $400,000 annually. 

As for what makes a single-site SME different from a multisite? Simply put, the former has 10 or fewer locations whilst the latter is when a business has more than 10 locations classified under small market electricity or gas consumption.
